About ToneVault

Store, edit, and share your guitar tones.

ToneVault is a place to store, view, edit, and share guitar tones. It supports three kinds of content:

  • Patches — digital preset files from modelers like Line 6 Helix, Strymon, and Fractal Audio. Uploaded as opaque blobs, parsed for in-browser viewing.
  • Tones — analog pedal snapshots captured with an in-app knob editor.
  • Rigs — signal chains that wire patches and tones together, including stereo splits and effects loops.

Anything you make can stay private, be shared with a group, or be published to the open web. Public pages are readable without an account.

How it works

Sign up with email or Google. Email signups verify before posting. Pick a handle and you have a profile at /u/<handle>. Create as much as you like; the free-tier limits (per-user storage cap, daily upload cap) are listed in your settings.

Private content and groups unlock when you receive an invite — we keep invite-only features in a separate tier so the public surface stays simple.

Operating principles

  • No ads. No selling your data.
  • You own what you upload. You can export everything as a ZIP at any time from Settings → Export.
  • Faceplate art is original stylized SVG, not manufacturer photography — keeping the product clear of trademark risk.
  • Deactivating your account hides everything for 30 days so you can recover. Permanent deletion is a second step.
